Generate a Rough Order of Magnitude (ROM) budget estimate for performing a data migration
Data Migrations
Prerequisites & Quoting
Assumptions
The linked questions and answers will be used by DataBank to produce a ROM budget estimate for performing a data migration from the listed source system including processing extracted data to the listed destination system. The migration will encompass the document files and related index values for the documents within the source system. Questions that cannot be answered will be assumed by DataBank and documented as such in the resulting ROM estimate.
Please note: the extraction process will read data from the source system. No data will be altered, moved, or destroyed as part of or as a result of the extraction process.
The ROM estimate and resulting service provided will also be based on the following assumptions unless otherwise negotiated in the final engagement contact and project scope:
Data migration services will be performed as a remote service with access to all necessary systems provided by the client
A staging environment will be required within a client's infrastructure to ensure that no client data will leave the network and to ensure data can be extracted and manipulated before ingestion into the destination system without altering the source system data (requirements will be provided with a statement of work)
The service that will be quoted in response to this questionnaire is strictly for the migration of document data from one system to another. Recreation / duplication of source system solution and functionality in the destination system will require a separate questionnaire, a separate estimate, and a separate service
Due to significant differences in application design as well as the varying nature of business process engine configurations (a.k.a. workflows), documents in the source system that exist within a workflow process or queue will not be migrated into a corresponding queue in the destination system. If requested, meta-data about the source system's current queue state may be provided as document meta-data in the destination system. It is advisable to complete any source system document workflows prior to the extraction and migration
Upon completion of discovery, an updated quote may be required
Execution of service is contingent on receipt of a signed statement of work

DataBank Can Manage:
1. Document & Meta-Data Extraction
Extract document information and meta-data directly from the source system.
2. Translating Extracted Document Data
Standardize and map document data so that it is uniform and fits into the destination system.
3. Execution & Monitoring of Destination System Import
4. Validation of Data
Migration Processes
Assistance in executing a proper data migration as well as hands-on monitoring of the entire destination system import process start-to-finish.
Ensure the entire data migration process is correct with our team of experts validating each step along the way.
5. Data Reconciliation
6. Exception Reporting
Easily reconcile the data between the source system and the destination system to ensure a smooth transition.
Identify errors and provide reports of issues that cannot be directly resolved. DataBank will provide recommendations to resolve these errors.
